There is a gap between what we know we should do and what we actually do. This is referred to as the knowing-doing gap. This gap is a cause of frustration. If you know what to do, why don’t you do it?
The reason for the knowing-doing gap is your programming, otherwise known as your paradigm. Your paradigm is a multitude of habits, and you must change these habits to change your paradigm.
Analyze your habits and find one or two that don’t get the desired results. Take these habits and write down the habits you would like, and start reading and writing those new ones until they start sinking into your subconscious mind. We are not talking about a resolution or a decision you make for yourself. That is simply a promise to yourself that isn’t worth a damn until you have a habit of making it and keeping it. The only way to keep a habit is to link it to a definite purpose.
Take action on these new habits, and once they become ingrained in your subconscious, move on to another bad habit, and after a while, you won’t even recognize your old self.
Success people form habits of doing things that failures don’t like to do!
This is how we overcome the knowing-doing gap. We all know way more than we are doing, and if you just focused on this one concept, you could increase your output and success without learning anything else.
